Keefe BoernerFacilities Manager
E-mail: keefe@mail.utexas.edu Keefe Boerner directly supervises and coordinates the staff handling equipment checkout, maintenance and post-production resources. He manages the maintenance budget for the equipment and coordinates the planning for equipment purchases. He is also the technical resource for contacts outside of the department. Keefe received his BS from this department in 1993. Prior to his current position, he has been a production coordinator, editor, visual effects and motion graphics artist, visual effects producer and post production supervisor on feature films. |
Linda CavageEquipment Check-Out Supervisor
E-mail: l.cavage@mail.utexas.edu Linda Cavage supervises scheduling services for the Production Area of the RTF department. She oversees equipment checkout for location productions as well as projects that support coursework, labs, classroom use and special departmental and college projects. Linda maintains reservation systems for resource scheduling, trains student staff in data entry actions, arbitrates scheduling conflicts, and negotiates equipment allocation by class for 24 or more RTF production courses with faculty and supervisor as required. |
Susanne KraftDigital Video/Audio Technician
E-mail: skraft@mail.utexas.edu Susanne Kraft supports and maintains numerous computer non-linear AVID, ProTools and Final Cut Pro editing workstations that range in complexity from low end digital video firewire seats to high end uncompressed High Definition workstations. She also supervises and maintains the Studio 4B lab that encompasses multi-platform workstations hosting a wide range of application suites such as Final Cut Pro Studio 2, AVID, ProTools, Adobe CS3 Production Premium, XSI, 3D Studio Max and Entertainment Partners Budgeting/Scheduling. Susanne graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BA degree in Art History and a BS in Radio Television and Film in 1990. She worked for 11 years at a local high-end post-production studio called 501 Post. There she learned all the facets of Video Post-Production and was a commercial AVID non-linear editor there for the last half of her tenure. In 2001 she started working for the Radio-TV-Film department and the rest is history. She enjoys assisting students with the technical problems and teaching basic and complex workflows in post-production. She tries to relieve student stress by simplifying complex things so they can concentrate on the creative process. Susanne likes animals, especially cats. She's interested in real estate, unless she has to do any remodeling herself. Among her few dislikes: bad traffic and shellfish. |
