"Texas Travesty Film Festival”

"McGuffin Film Festival”

Short films, judged by famous people. $15 entry fee.

"Kinetoscopic Wonderment Film Festival"
-Open to UT students, faculty and staff. Under 10 minutes. Free entry. Sponsored by Computer Science Dept.

"Jump Cut”
-Short films judged by industry professionals.

"Cinematexas”
-Renowned short film fest. $30 entry, but free festival pass regardless of acceptance of work.

"Blowing up a Spot”

National women’s film festival. Free?

"Cine Las Americas International Film Festival”
-Features works made by or about Latinos.

"Austin Film Festival”
-Well-known as a festival for screenwriting. Also accepts films: both narrative & documentary. $40 entry fee.

"SXSW”
-Top-ranking independent film festival, $25+ to enter.

"AGLIFF”
-Austin Gay & Lesbian Independent film festival. $15 entry fee.

"Flicker”
-Short films shown at Alamo Draft house. Must originate on film. Free to enter, quarterly festival.

"Austin Jewish Film Festival"
-Films about Jewish people and culture.

"Austin Asian Film Festival"

UT organization. Focus on Asian cinema. Brand new. Free to enter?

"The Animation Show"

North American tour, includes shows at Alamo Draft house. Programmed by Mike Judge & Don Hertzfeld. Free to enter?

"Zombiedance"
