The China-American Film Festival is looking for short films featuring individuals or groups engaged in cross-cultural endeavors for the betterment of communities across the United states or China. The Desert Reel Film Festival is a festival created by people who truly appreciate independent film. It was founded upon the idea of showcasing local works of film and digital art. After much planning, the Desert Reel Film Festival debuted in 2004 with films not only from the Midland/Odessa area, but from across the country. The festival exposed the community to an element of film that was not often seen in the area.
