Problems associated with these ‘monolithic’ drives include:
-poor data throughput (the speed in which actual data transfers between destinations)
-lower quality chipsets with extreme susceptibility to electrical damage (easily fried)
-poor customer service (data recovery not covered under warranty)
-overall: arguably a “steal”, definitely a cheap storage solution, not recommended for video editing or portable storage solutions.
