Filmmaker Jennifer Fox to Visit UT Mon, April 7

Event: Filmmaker Jennifer Fox will visit campus as part of an event co-sponsored by the UT Documentary Center, RTF Master Class, and Austin Film Society. Fox will be screening Parts 1 & 2 of her documentary feature “Flying: Confessions of a Free Woman.” A Q&A session with Fox will take place after the screening.

When: 7:30-9:30pm, Monday, April 7

Where: CMB Studio 4D (26th & Dean Keeton – campus map)

Background: In the six hour long episodes of “Flying,” acclaimed filmmaker Jennifer Fox maps the world of female life and sexuality today-from the dramatic turns in her own life to the stories of women around the globe that shed light on the universal issues all women face. Filmed over five years, Fox travels to over seventeen countries in search of what it means to be a free woman. Employing groundbreaking camera techniques, the series creates a new type of documentary language and storytelling that mirrors the special way women communicate.
