Robert Foshko, formerly Head of Production for MCA and Head Script Editor for MCA/Revue Productions New York, was for over twenty years a professional writer, script editor, director, and producer for theatrical motion pictures and television. His production staff and screen credits in New York, Hollywood , and London include MCA-Universal, British-Lion/Columbia, MGM-TV, Columbia Pictures/Screen Gems, and over a hundred national television dramatic and documentary episodes in many series and specials for CBS, NBC, ABC and PBS, where he was Executive Producer for Cultural Programming.

He wrote and edited fiction for Ziff-Davis Publishing, Hillman Periodicals, and King Features Syndicate. His television and film work has received numerous honors from the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, multiple CINE Golden Eagle awards, The Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge, and the International Festivals of New York and Chicago , among others.

For over fifteen years he has been Head of screenwriting for the Department of Radio-TV-Film at the University of Texas at Austin, and continues to teach writing for film and electronic media, and advanced television and film production. He is a core faculty member of the James Michener Texas Center for Writers, and has been on its Graduate Studies Committee from the Center's beginning.
