COPYING

Remember that the RTF copier in CMA 6.122 is for departmental business: instructional- and research-related copying. It is not to be used for personal copying, including the copying of dissertations. If you must make personal copying, it will cost you 5ยข per page, to be paid to the jar on the shelf to the right of the copier.

Class packets of readings should not be copied in the Department. Please take them to Paradigm Books, the Co-op, or another vendor and ask your students to purchase them directly from that source. If you have forgotten to include an item of substantial length, please take it to a commercial copier where your students can purchase it.

Or use ERes, the electronic reserves service provided by the UT Libraries.See http://www.lib.utexas.edu/services/reserves/about.html

Please do not assume that the copier will be available in the hour or so before your class. This is especially true on the first few class days of each semester.

Please do not do extensive copying of materials to distribute to your students on this copier. We simply cannot afford it.

Other class materials (such as syllabi, handouts, and exams) should normally be copied on the department copier. In an emergency situation, check with RTF office staff before taking jobs elsewhere. Please do not expect to be reimbursed after spending your own money without prior approval.

A reservation sheet is on a clipboard by the copier.

Please be courteous to your fellow copiers. Let them interrupt your long job if they have only a few pages to do.
