RTF faculty members are some of the best on the UT campus. Highlights about a few of our faculty:
MEDIA STUDIES FACULTY
Professor BRUCE PENNYCOOK is an award-winning composer, new media developer, and media technology specialist.
Assistant Professor JENNIFER FULLER is a media historian whose research focuses on race, gender, and national identity. In particular, she is interested in representations of blackness throughout the history of broadcasting and cable.
PRODUCTION FACULTY
Assistant Professor ED RADTKE, one of the department’s newest faculty members, is an acclaimed filmmaker who has produced and directed three independent features, including the award-winning films “Bottom Land” and more recently “The Dream Catcher.”
Lecturer RUXANDRA GUIDI, also a recent addition to the department, is an independent journalist working in radio, print, and multimedia. She’s reported for the BBC public radio news program, The World, and for NPR's Latino USA. Her stories focused on Latin American politics, human rights issues, rural communities, immigration, popular culture and music.
