Both for longevity and top-notch quality, few Hollywood producers can match Art Linson. Having started out in the music business, he first produced films like Car Wash and American Hot Wax before meeting a young Rolling Stone writer named Cameron Crowe and collaborating on Fast Times at Ridgemont High. That brought Sean Penn into his life who, along with Robert DeNiro, Brian DePalma, and David Mamet, he's worked with many times over the last four decades and nearly thirty features. Just a few of his classic films include The Untouchables, Heat, Scrooged, Into The Wild, and David Fincher's cult masterpiece Fight Club. Linson is also scathingly funny as an author who looks behind the screen in Hollywood, most recently in the instructively amusing What Just Happened?
