How does a guy get to see his wife on Valentine’s Day when she’s the producer and head programmer of SXSW Film, the festival is a mere three weeks away, and the pressure cooker is steaming?  If you’re me, you invite the thoughtful, earnest, film-loving, speed-talking Janet Pierson to visit your class. OK she was slightly late.  But her analysis of the incredibly successful 2010 event, including breakout TINY FURNITURE, along with her insights into the history of the whole SX organization, partly captured in 2011 fest documentary OUTSIDE INDUSTRY, make this edition of the Master Class a keeper.
