PAYASOS at the New Filmmakers Showcase in NYC

Payasos (Clowns), a short film by Peruvian filmmaker Marianela Vega Oroza, will screen as part of the New Latino Filmmakers Program at the Anthology Film Archives in New York City on September 30th. This film was recently awarded Best Fiction Short and Best Short Film at the Latin American Film Festival in Lima 2009.

Synopsis:

After the death of his father, a young journalist in the city of Lima hides in the world of street clowns. Based on the short story City of Clowns, by Daniel Alarcón.
