Aparna Shanadi is an undergraduate advisor for the Office of Student Affairs in collaboration with the Department of Radio-Television-Film. Aparna graduated with a Master of Education degree in School Counseling from the University of Florida in 2004. Before moving to Austin in 2007, Aparna was an academic advisor for almost 3 years at the University of Florida, Warrington College of Business.
Aparna advises students on various aspects of their academic planning, degree progress and academic enhancers that would compliment their career goals. In addition, she assists with the Latino Media Studies program, study abroad opportunities, and the Fall/Spring graduation.
Aparna loves to travel both within the US and internationally when time and money allow. So far, her travels abroad have taken her to India, Italy, France, Switzerland, Turkey, Guatemala, and Lithuania. She hopes to add to this list by visiting at least one country each year.
