Prerequisites

RTF 305. A grade of B or better is required in this course to take upper-division production classes. Restricted to College of Communication students.

The RTF Department strongly advises students to refrain from adding this course after the 1st class day.

Course description

This is the threshold course to all upper-division production courses, providing students with technical vocabulary, elementary theory and aesthetic technique required in production. The course covers various aspects of audio, video, and film production. Students will be required to attend hands-on lab sections and complete a photograph sequence, an audio project, and a final video or film project.
