Must be an RTF major with a UT GPA of at least a 2.25 and have upper-division standing. The following prerequisite: RTF 346 or prior editing experience required and consent of the instructor.

Course description
This course is a further elaboration of the principles and techniques of editing various types of visual and aural material, using the Avid Express workstations in the Digital Editing Lab. We will discuss aesthetic, technical, and practical approaches within the cinematic and allied traditions and consider how they might best apply to some (provided) editing challenges. In particular, we'll address the concept of editing style in all types of media.
