Prerequisites

Must be an RTF major with a UT GPA of at least a 2.25 and have upper-division standing. The following prerequisites: RTF 305 and 3 additional semester hours of lower-division coursework in RTF with a grade of at least C in each course; and RTF 317 and 318 with a grade of at least B in each. RTF 351C Digital Animation class with a grade of C or better, or prior animation experience and consent of the instructor. Software costs borne by the student.

Consent requirements

This course does not require consent. Registration is open via TEX to all RTF majors.

First class day policy

Students must attend the first TWO classes and be on time or they will be dropped.

Course description

Students will use the basic 2-D animation skills learned in the 351C Digital Animation and Graphics class to focus on the production of longer animated projects. Additional techniques including some 3-D, stop motion, and advanced 2-D will also be covered in class.
