Course description

Documentaries are most often conceived of as linear in nature. Thisoften forces the maker to leave out many interesting aspects of his or her story. In the interactive documentary class students will create non-linear documentaries for presentations as DVD videos that free him or her from the linear mold. By the end of the semester students will have learned the basic skill set for creating interactive video productions including: interface design, basic camera work and sound, editing and packaging using a DVD software product. Students will be encouraged to use other software packages that they have learned in other classes such as Flash or AfterEffects.
