COURSE DESCRIPTION

This is an advanced post-production course for students working on UT Film Institute productions. For more information about UTFI classes, go to http://utfi.utexas.edu/classes/index.html

During the course of the semester students will work with the crew of Burnt Orange Productions/UTFI's Feature Film Project The Cassidy Kids as foley, f/x, dialogue, and music editors. Students will improve upon their existing knowledge of Pro-Tools to spot, edit, and mix sound material for the film. They will learn a more in-depth, practical application of sound editing techniques, hardware, and software, as well as post production workflows as they relate feature films. The class will be extremely hands-on and is meant only for students specializing in sound editing and design.
