PREREQUISITES

Must be an RTF major with a UT GPA of at least a 2.25 and have upper-division standing. The following prerequisites: RTF 340, 366, OR 366K.

CONSENT REQUIREMENTS

Registration is open via the online registration system to all RTF majors.

FIRST CLASS DAY POLICY

Students must attend the first class day or make prior arrangements with the instructor.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

The course will have two parts. First, a Monday evening guest speaker series, during which Warren Spector, an RTF alumni and major figure in the game design industry who leads a company here in Austin, will lead conversations with visitors from the game (and other digital media) industries. Second, a lab component (Mondays 1 - 4 p.m.) led by a second instructor to be named, during which RTF and CS students will collaborate on projects driven by the students' interests.
