Alessio was born in California and grew up in New York City. He sees Television as a formless, multi-armed monster injecting us all with thoughts and feelings, and all he wants is to inject some thoughts of his own back into it. Alessio trained as an actor at HB Studios and with The Wooster group, which shaped his sensitivity to language as both a tool and an obstacle for communication, and taught him to love the screen as an artistic medium respectively. As an undergraduate at the University of Chicago, he researched Television, film, media theory, and game design, including working on a transmedia Alternate Reality Game and educational board games for high school students. He currently reviews TV and film for the leftwing magazine Jewish Currents. Recent stories he has told include "Under InspeKtion," a Kafka-inspired suspense-comedy web series, and "These Messages," a liberalism horror fiction podcast. Nothing inspires Alessio more than family, and he is thrilled to have a new creative family at UT to share and grow with.
