Fumiya is a filmmaker, born and raised in Japan. He graduated from Waseda Universiy with a B.A. in Political Sciences. While in university, he has worked on several short films as a cinematographer and some of them won awards. As a director, he made a documentary film, “Safe Haven”, which focused on a foreign workers in Japan. Since graduating, he has worked at a NPO, which promotes Japanese films and filmmakers to some international festivals, such as Annecy International Animated Film Festival.
