
Gejun Huang is originally from Ningbo, China and has received his MA in Media Studies from Radio-Television-Film Department of the University of Texas at Austin. His research interests touch on the global game industry, media entrepreneurship, cultural policy and creative industries, and the sociological implications of media technologies. He has published first- and co-authored articles in peer-reviewed journals including American Behavioral Scientists and Information, Communication & Society, and edited anthologies Comparative
Approaches of the IGI-Global Collection and The Onlooker Sees: Studies on the Chinese Video Game Industry (2019). He is currently working on his dissertation titled New Frontier of Digital Media and Entertainment: Exploring
Entrepreneurship in Chinese Game Industry, which is supported by the Doctoral Fellowship of Chiang Ching-Kuo Foundation for International Scholarly Exchange.
