Professional Links & Recent Works

Laura earned an MFA in Film & Television Studies and a BA in History, both from Boston University. Her research interests include American broadcast media history, critical industry studies, music on television, and media failures. Laura is currently co-lead coordinating editor of The Velvet Light Trap, serves as a column editor for Flow: A Critical Forum on Media and Culture, holds a position on the graduate student council of the Library of Congress' Radio Preservation Task Force, and works as the Curatorial Assistant for Film at The Harry Ransom Center.
