End of Semester Screenings Spring 2018

Join UT's Department of Radio-Television-Film May 9-12, as we showcase this spring’s student work. The free screenings and demonstrations will take place on the UT campus at the Texas Union Theater (UNB 2.228) as well as a few other venues and will culminate at the end of the week, with advanced undergraduate and graduate films.

Digital Demo Day

On Thursday, May 10, Digital Demo Day” will take place in collaboration with the Computer Science Department and the College of Fine Arts. Digital Demo Day is a free, biannual event, held in multiple locations, and will include a digital arcade in which the public can try out students’ games and watch animation and FX demos. Students will also present their work. The RTF classes involved are listed in the schedule above.

East Austin Stories

East Austin has changed dramatically since a University of Texas film class has been making documentaries in and about the area. For the 17th year in a row, individuals, families, groups, and businesses in East Austin collaborated with the film students in the "East Austin Stories" class, led by filmmaker and professor, Andrew Garrison, to tell local stories in a free evening of documentaries.

MFA Thesis

As the culmination of her master’s program, MFA candidate Brittney Shepherd will screen her thesis film, Roles We Play, for the public on Saturday night, May 12th, at the UT Texas Union Theater (UNB 2.228).  The event is free and open to the community.

An aging college theater teacher must recalibrate her path to pregnancy when she learns that one of her students is on the roster of potential sperm donors.
