Originally from San Antonio, Mia Mendez is returning to Texas after receiving her B.A. in Communication from the University of Southern California at the Annenberg School of Communication and Journalism in 2023. She has done work in entertainment market research and data analytics but has always been passionate about media representation. Her undergraduate research focused on the representation of South Asians in Netflix's Bridgerton and Never Have I Ever. She hopes to continue researching representation and identity for Latines in the televisual space.
In her spare time, Mia loves to go to concerts, try new food, and play volleyball. Her favorite TV shows from the past year have been The Bear, Fantasmas, Baby Reindeer, and Abbott Elementary.
