Samuel Burton has a BA in Media Arts Studies from Brigham Young University. He has lived most of his life in the mountains of Salt Lake City, Utah. A podcast junkie, movie buff, and avid reader, he enjoys working with various forms of media in scholarship, production, and for entertainment. His interests outside of his academic studies include creative writing, hiking, tabletop RPGing, and LGBTQ+ activism and advocacy.
Areas of Focus: Queer media studies, fan studies, identity and representation, critical cultural studies, media activism.
