Soo-Hee has lived most of her life in Seoul, South Korea. She holds a B.A. in Media and Communication and Sociology from Korea University. During the height of the Feminism Reboot movement in South Korea, she founded an independent publication as a platform for young feminists to write about media through the lens of feminism. Soo-Hee is pursuing an M.A. in Media Studies with an interest in global queer popular culture audiences and feminist fandom as a political praxis. She is also a filmmaker who aims to bring marginalized communities and perspectives to light. In her free time, she likes to work on the first draft of her feature script and watch Science Fiction films. Areas of Interest: Identity and Representation, Fan Studies, Feminist and Queer Theory.
