Originally from Greenville, South Carolina, Vanya Bokar received his B.A. in World Cinema from Clemson University in 2023 with a minor in History. Vanya's research interests lie mainly in the study of the audiovisual effects of cinema on the senses and the poetic depth therein—in particular, the indexical fingerprint of photography or cinematography, and the physical implications of photographical creation. Vanya's favorite movies are Stalker, Terrifier 2, and The Thing (1982). Outside of film, Vanya's main interest is baseball. His favorite team is the Oakland Athletics.
