Em is a nonbinary filmmaker with a passion for non-fiction storytelling centering queer, trans, and disabled voices. Their documentary films are community oriented stories made in collaboration with artists across multiple disciplines. Their most recent short, Earth to KB, premiered at BFI Flare: London LGBTQIA+ Film Festival 2024, and was awarded an Austin Film Society short film grant.
Em holds an MFA in Film and Media Production from the University of Texas at Austin, and a BFA in Animation from Massachusetts College of Art and Design. They also work as a Teaching Artist with Creative Action, and collaborate as a freelance editor and production designer.
