Juan Carlos Gutierrez is an award-winning, emerging TV writer who works as a WPA in the writers’ room for Hulu’s TELL ME LIES. Previously, he worked in various support staff roles in the writers’ room for CBS’ CLARICE. His adult animated comedy pilot, CUAUHTEMOC IN THE SKY WITH JADE BEADS, was a finalist in the 2019 ScreenCraft Animation Competition. He also received funding from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association to produce his graduate thesis, HUGOWOOD, which he wrote and executive produced. He earned his MFA in Writing and Producing for Television from Loyola Marymount University in 2019 and his BS in Radio-Television-Film from The University of Texas at Austin in 2016.
