End of Semester Screenings Fall 2018

Join UT's Department of Radio-Television-Film December 12-16, as we showcase this fall’s student work. The free screenings and demonstrations are open to the public. They will take place on the UT campus at the Texas Union Theatre and the CMB 4th floor and will conclude with advanced undergraduate and graduate films. On Sunday, December 16th, we will screen MFA thesis films from Sophia Loffreda, Jay Hubert, Kira Matica, and Artemis Anastasiadou.

On Sunday, December 16th, we will screen MFA thesis films at the Texas Student Union Theatre from 6-7:30 PM. Filmmakers include Sophia Loffreda, Jay Hubert, Kira Matica, and Artemis Anastasiadou. These films reflect the culmination of their graduate education.

	“The Adventures of... “ • Sophia Loffreda  Dramedy  – 17 min Longing for steadier ground at the precipice of a big move, a woman uses an overdue library book as an excuse to reconnect with her childhood best friend.
	“Mr. Silverman”  • Jay Hubert  Drama – 15 min Jack, a lonely Waikiki street performer, must help a neighbor and her sick mother seek medical help.
	“Night at the Club” • Kira Matica Experimental – 10 min Four strippers united by the joint forces of a slow business night and the judgement of a moralizing do-gooder subvert the prevailing narrative about themselves by irreverently imitating it and replacing it with their own embodied story.
	“I am Mackenzie” • Artemis Anastasiadou  Drama – 20 min  Caught among toxic masculine behaviors, a sequin dress and a teenage crush, a teen skater tomboy, growing up in rural Texas, will have sex for the first time in the back of their dad’s truck.
