End of Semester Screenings Fall 2019

December 12–15, 2019

From animation to documentary, virtual reality to drama...this semester's student work will be on display to the public from December 12–December 15. The free screenings and demonstrations will take place at various venues and culminate over the weekend with graduate films. Read on for the schedule and details.

Graduate Thesis Films

As the culmination of their master’s programs, MFA candidates Taniel Kilajian, Christoph Burfict, and Alessandra Lichtenfeld will screen their thesis films for the public on Sunday night, December 15, at 7 pm at the  Texas Union Theater (UNB 2.228)   The event is free and open to the community. Join us in the lobby immediately before the screening for a light reception.

C'EST LA VIE - Taniel Kilajian
Dark Comedy (17 min)
C'est La Vie recounts a wonderfully chaotic evening at your local French restaurant, where the wait staff must get their act together and take care of big spender Big Bobby. 

 

DUPLICITY - Christoph Burfict
Drama (15:00)
In order to be cleared for active duty after a temporary discharge from the field, a soldier undergoes testing in an experimental combat simulation.

 

BROKEN HEARTS - Alessandra Lichtenfeld
Drama (17:00 min)
A teen born with congenital heart disease (CHD) struggles to find autonomy over her body and also from her overprotective parents who govern her life based on astrological forecasts.
