MA Student
As a first generation college student Alexa is elated and eternally grateful for the privilege to continue pursuing higher education in a field that is prodigiously important to her as a person and academic. She currently holds a B.A. in English with focus areas in Jewish Studies and Media Studies from the University of Texas at Austin and is now an M.A candidate in the Moody College of Communications. Her research examines the impact and connection between commodity culture, transnationalism, and popular music culture.
When Alexa isn't locked away in the library you can find her nurturing her creative side, doting on her precious kitty, or sunbathing whilst contemplating the most recent episode of reality television she's watched.
