Shianne Salazar

Shianne Salazar, or Shi.City as she goes by on the radio, is a Trinidadian filmmaker & journalist by way of South Florida. Salazar attended the University of Miami where she pursued filmmaking, reporting, and radio production and continues to tinker in these areas - though directing is her primary creative poison.

Now based in Austin, Salazar's goal is to cultivate her artistic voice through enchanting visual explorations of underserved diasporic communities and the ways they have been underestimated in mainstream culture.
