It's already time for Austin's annual ritual of spring: SXSW! As is typical of the Austin-based multi-faceted extravaganza of art, culture, and technology, this year's lineup includes an exciting crop of new films and events involving Longhorns, many of which are listed below. Please check them out, as well as our free UT RTF Longhorn Denius Student Film Showcase, screening at AFS Cinema on Friday, March 7, at 3 pm.

“THE TEXAS FILM EXPERIENCE”

You do not need a SXSW badge to attend. Open to the public.  

MFA production student Chase Musslewhite is hosting a SXSW event that showcases the life of a film from development through distribution featuring the best crew in Austin, TX. The event’s goal is to showcase all the different job opportunities there are in the film industry as well as demonstrate some of the most fun aspects of film. Stroll up the Texas Capitol great walk and visit with each film department in development, pre-production, production, post-production, and distribution! Watch demos in wardrobe construction, set building, prosthetics, virtual production, stunts, and more.
