Austin marks its seasons with festivals. This month, a rite of fall, is the 31st Austin Film Festival. We celebrate the many UT and RTF affiliates who are participating in this year's festivities, including several listed below. Announcing 2024 Winners of Robert Foshko Memorial Scholarship & Screenplay Competition
We are delighted to announce the winners of the 2024 Robert Foshko Memorial Scholarship & Screenplay Competition: Cody Rea (MFA Screenwriting '25) for his feature screenplay CLOSED ON SUNDAY$, and Chidera Orazulike (B.S. in Radio-TV-Film, Minor in African & African Diaspora Studies '25) for their feature screenplay NO VICTOR, NO VANQUISHED.
Texas Entertainment and Media Industries Symposium
On Friday, September 20, 2024, nearly two hundred community members took part in the Texas Entertainment and Media Industries Symposium (TEMI). Co-hosted by the Center for Entertainment and Media Industries (CEMI) and the Department of Radio-Television-Film (RTF), the all-day event brought together experts, scholars, and students to discuss the vibrant landscape of the Texas media ecosystem.
